Texas Hold'Em
The most popular and strategic poker game of all time Texas Hold'Em can give you hours of fun, entertainment and, if you are skilful enough bags of profit!
The game is relatively easy to understand however to master it will take along time. The game is always
started with both of two players to the left of the dealer posting what are called a Big Blind and a Small Blind, the amount of these wager will be displayed on each poker room
Once these wagers have been placed then the game will get underway with the two pocket cards being dealt to each and every player. The betting will start once the cards have been dealt
and all of the players to the left of the Big Blind will take it in turn.
You need to be aware that as all of the blinds are bets, not antes, this will mean that players cannot check in the first betting round they are just allowed to
either fold, call or raise.
The second Round only begins after the first round has been completed, and it is here that the three cards commonly referred too as the flop will be
dealt face up on the table.
Be aware that all of these three cards can be used by all players, next the betting will start, but always by the first player who is still in the game positioned
to the left of the dealer button and they are permitted to either check or bet.
Next is the third round, and it is at this point of the poker game that the fourth communal card commonly referred too as the turn will be dealt, and another round of betting follows.
At the fourth round of the game we see the
final communal card being dealt, this is commonly referred too as the river, and is followed by another round of betting.
The objective of Texas Hold'Em is for all of the players still in the game to use their two pocket cards and the five communal cards to make up the very best five card hand as
possible, the player with the best hand will receive the pot. If two or more players have the same winning hand the pot is split equally between both of them.
