Eli Elezra with new gold bracelet for his first WSOP win

Eli elezra finally proves he's as good as we all know him to be. Accumulating chips throughout the event he had to face and defeat a WSOP Main Event World Champion, Scotty Nguyen. With a huge chip lead the colorful Elezra continued to hack away at Scotty's stack until he finally collected all of the chips for the win.

An intersting side story circulated through the Rio Pavilion about the side bets Eli won by taking down the event. Apparently Barry Greenstein owes him a quarter million after making him a 10-1 dog to win then accepting a $25K wager from Eli. Rumors are also spreading that he may be collecting more than a half mil in additional side action. All that 'extra cash' makes the $198,894 first place prize pale in comparison; but the coveted gold bracelet and Corum watch will be shining for years to come. Scotty Nguyen had to sette for the $110,731 second place money. Congratulations to Eli Elezra for the victory.
